Diane Quon

 
 

DIANE QUON is an Academy Award-nominated producer who worked as a marketing executive at Paramount Pictures and NBC in LA before moving back to her hometown of Chicago.

Diane has produced multiple documentaries including: Oscar and Emmy nominated, Peabody award-winning film, MINDING THE GAP (Hulu, POV); Emmy-nominated FINDING YINGYING (MTVDocs); Emmy-nominated WUHAN WUHAN (POV); 2022 Oscar-shortlisted BAD AXE (IFC FILMS); BREAKING THE NEWS (Indie Lens); AKA MR. CHOW (HBO) and THE ROSE: COME BACK TO ME (Tribeca 2025).  She is producing the upcoming documentaries THE UNTITLED SAM PROJECT and MOVEMENT. Diane is also developing a fiction film based on a NYTimes bestseller, HOTEL ON THE CORNER OF BITTER AND SWEET. Diane is an Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences member, a Television Academy member, and a PGA member.

 

Diane is also the executive producer of many documentaries directed by emerging, BIPOC filmmakers including THIRD ACT (Sundance 2025),  LIQUOR STORE DREAMS (Tribeca 2022), UNSEEN (HotDocs 2023), THE TASTE OF MANGO (BFI 2023), NEW WAVE (Tribeca 2024)  and HOME COURT (LAAPFF 2024).

She is a recipient of the Cinereach Producer Award, is a Sundance Creative Producing Fellow, and a Film Independent Fellow. She is the very proud mother of four.
